officially began his art career after graduating with a BA in
Psychology and a minor in Studio Arts from Hobart-William Smith
College in 2004. He attended Pilchuck Glass School for the first
time in 1999 and studied under Michael Taylor from RIT.

- From
this experience, David developed a unique style of cutting, chipping,
polishing and constructing sculpture from plate glass/crystal.
This style evolved from his observation of crystalline ice, which
characterized the vision he wished to convey.
From his sculptural experience David now focuses his unique signature
techniques into the creation of his Star-Leight Crystal Jewelry
line. Each piece is handcrafted with vaporized metal crystal
inside his unique carved crystal-glass.
