- My journey
in blacksmithing began in high school. What I
subsequently learned from my blacksmith mentors were the skills
needed to work the metal as well as the aesthetics. When I started
experimenting with flameworked glass I was already comfortable
working a material while hot so that it was a natural transition
for
me. Now combining the two mediums of glass and metal, be it sculptural
or functional, they feel perfectly suited to one another.
