Teresa Jones

I make glass beads through a process called lampworking. Glass is heated to approximately 1600 degrees with a table-mounted torch and then applied to a stainless steel rod and shaped with brass and graphite tools to become a bead. I enjoy paring unlikely colors with surprising shapes and twists while assigning it an ordinary function. Like sweet and sour, the extraordinary for the ordinary! Why shouldn't a bottle opener, or a cheese knife be stunning as well as functional?
